Are You Willing To Dance Until It Rains?

Hello Your World Within Community!

“Rain dances work 100% of the time….If you’re willing to dance until it rains.”

My friend Jason shared this thought with me at a recent mastermind event. With a light-hearted chuckle, he quickly referenced the quote and moved on. “Wait, wait…what did you say?” I asked, before informing him that I’d love to share it on my Monday newsletter. It’s just too good. I mean, come on…I’ve never heard a better reasoning for why persistence matters.

This was more than just a mystical tale of summoning the rain. It was a celebration of the spirit that moves with joy and defiance against the odds. It was the much needed reminder that you only lose when you stop. Dance long enough, and eventually you’ll get your rain.

Here are a few things to keep in mind while you’re dancing around the fire:

You Can’t Control Everything

The Stoics had it figured out long ago—the fine line between steering your ship and letting the sea take its course, distinguishing between what’s in your hands and what’s not.

Mirroring the essence of the Serenity Prayer (God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference)  it guides us toward understanding what is in our control and what is out of our hands.

There Is Value In The Setbacks

Consider, not too long ago now, the colossal upheaval brought by COVID-19 as a case point. A time that found us standing at the crossroads of an altered world, with plans on hold and a blanket of uncertainty. This disruptive, seemingly negative experience was the launching pad I didn’t know I needed. The clients being suddenly unable to pay combined with a lack of live speaking engagements freed up time for me to focus on personal brand. I embraced a significant leap to the digital platform that effectively expanded my reach and 10X’d my business.

It wasn’t mere adaptation. It was uncovering a new stage entirely amidst the chaos. This exists in every predicament or “untimely” situation, if we are willing to look hard enough.

You Have To Begin

The real adventure isn’t in evading the storm, but charging into it with open arms, declaring with each stride that you're not one to be easily knocked down.

It’s a testament to the power within, to push through, to innovate, and to dance in the face of adversity, trusting that eventually the rain will come.

An Open Invitation

This week, I urge you to find your fire, to leap into the realm of the unknown with all your heart. Let every challenge, every setback, and every moment of doubt become the rhythm to which you move, pushing you closer to your dreams.

It’s not about waiting for the storm to pass but about rising to meet it, about channeling your inner force to blaze new trails where none existed before.

So, as you step into the dance of life, know that the rain is not just a possibility but a certainty for those who dare to keep dancing.

Continue to move forward with the assurance that in motion, everything is possible!
