Control Your Mind
This week, I’m going to take you on a little journey inspired by a nightly view from my rooftop. Up there, overlooking Scottsdale, there’s a Ferris wheel glowing in vibrant colors, standing out against the dark horizon. One night as I watched it spin, I found myself caught in a stream of thought that felt both deeply personal and universally true:
A Ferris wheel isn’t just a ride—it’s a portal to a new perspective.
Think about it. People travel to it, wait in line, pay for the chance of sitting on that slow, predictable rotation. Not for adrenaline, but for a moment at the top—a view that transforms the familiar streets, buildings, and landscapes into something extraordinary. It looks different; it feels different.
It made me realize the magic isn’t in the world changing—it’s in how we see it.
The lesson hit me like a lightning bolt: when life feels heavy, or impossible, it’s not because the beauty is gone. It’s because I’m stuck at ground level, wearing blinders that obscure what’s already there. The solution isn’t to wait for the world to change—it’s to elevate my perspective.
I recently experienced this firsthand during a conversation with a friend, a sharp YouTube analyst. He pointed out something encouraging about the audience retention on videos.
“Eddie people are watching these episodes almost 100% of the way through. That’s almost unheard of. You’re gonna be the next Tony Robbins.”
While I laughed it off, his words shifted something inside me. I received an immediate jolt of excitement. I could see the upside and possibility glowing in the distance as if reminding me “why” I do what I do.
How easily we forget the extent to which we can grow ourselves and make an impact in the world. Suddenly I wasn’t merely sifting through data—I was dreaming of an impact beyond my wildest imagination. Everything was elevated. It wasn’t that circumstances had changed: my mindset had.
That’s the quiet power of perspective.
When you’re down—when the world feels heavy and unchangeable—it’s not a sign that better doesn’t exist. It’s a sign that you’re seeing the world from the base of the Ferris wheel. Ask yourself, “What will lift me up?” It might be a conversation, a book, a walk, or even a quiet moment with your thoughts.
And when you do climb back up, something amazing happens: you become the Ferris wheel for others. You don’t create their magic—you show them the beauty, strength, and possibility they already possess.
This week, I challenge you to take a step toward that higher view. Whether it’s reflecting on your goals, seeking inspiration, or simply taking time for gratitude—remember: the magic is waiting. You just have to buy the ticket.
You got this!
Continue to live inspired,
P.S. Be the Ferris wheel for someone else today—you never know whose view you’ll change.
