How to Transform Your Biggest Challenges into Victories
There are moments in life when you look up and feel crushed by everything in front of you.
The dream. The healing. The starting over. The next chapter.
You feel the weight of how far there is to go…and something inside whispers: “I can’t.”
I’ve felt that too, many times actually.
A few days ago, I was alone in a stadium in Phoenix. The plan? Thirty sprints up a long stretch of sun-scorched bleachers. I’m taking fitness to the next level and thought that would be a great challenge as I build momentum. Plus…it looks so cool when people do it in the movies.
Ready, go! At first, I felt strong and focused. Cake. This is what I do. Running and hard things. No one and nothing can stop me.
I often forget though, life has a say. By the time I hit sprint 13 up those steps, things started to shift. My legs were getting wobbly. The 105 degree temp was getting to me. My breath grew short. And my mind, quiet until now, began to turn on me.
“Why are you doing this?” “No one’s watching.” “Just stop.”
That’s the part that always seems to echo the loudest; “Eddie…this is silly. You don’t HAVE to.”
But on my way back down those steps after sprint 13, I knew. I knew that I DID have to. It wasn’t just about the workout. It was about life. If I quit there, where else would I fold?
I think that’s where most of us get stuck. Not in the difficulty itself, but in how we see it.
We look at the whole mountain and try to carry all of it at once.
But life doesn’t ask us to do that.
It asks us to take one step. Just one. To meet the moment we’re in, not the one a thousand steps away.
So I stopped thinking about all 30 sprints. I focused on the next one. And then the next. Until I hit 15 and smiled. Because halfway matters. Because progress is sacred, no matter how small.
It felt amazing because I knew: This is how I’ve gotten through everything that once felt impossible. Not by being fearless. But by breaking it down until it felt human. Livable. Doable. Scared? Sometimes, sure. But it doesn’t matter. Scared or not, anyone can do one sprint. Happy or sad? Anyone can do one sprint.
Win the battle you’re currently fighting. Not the one down the road.
This week’s video is about that shift. Not pushing harder but seeing clearer. Not chasing the summit but learning to honor the next step.
If you’re carrying something big right now, a decision, a dream, a loss, a fear, this is your reminder:
You don’t have to do it all. You just have to do what’s in front of you.
One breath. One conversation. One brave act of not giving up.
That’s how the impossible gets done. Not with a leap, but with a thousand quiet, committed steps.
And right now, you only need one.
.
Continue to live inspired,
