If This Were My Last Time Picking Up A Pen....

Hey Gang,

If this were my last time picking up a pen…I wouldn’t try to impress you.

I wouldn’t talk about success, or strategy, or how to get ahead. None of that would feel important enough.

I’d talk about this. The quiet truth we all avoid: We never know when something is the last time.

The last walk you didn’t think twice about. The last conversation you half-paid attention to. The last normal day you rushed through because you thought there would be more.

There’s always more, until there isn’t. And it never tells you.

So we live like we have time. We rush through moments that deserved more of us. We put things off that actually mattered. We assume we can circle back later.

It took me a long time to understand that most of what we stress about won’t matter in the way we think it will. The pressure. The noise. The endless chase. It fades faster than we expect.

But people don’t. The right people don’t. The ones who bring something real into your life. The ones who make you feel like yourself again. They are everything.

If I could leave you with anything, it would be this: Don’t take them lightly. Be present. Say the thing. Make the call. Don’t assume there’s always another chance.

And remember, some of the strongest people you know are carrying weight you’ll never see. The ones who give the most often need it the most. Take care of them.

If this were my last time writing…I wouldn’t tell you to slow down. I’d tell you to wake up. To what matters. To what’s real. To what’s right in front of you. Go after your goals. Build something meaningful. Just don’t lose yourself while you’re chasing it.

Because when you zoom out far enough, you see it clearly: None of it was wasted. Not the pain. Not the confusion. Not the seasons where you felt completely lost. It was all part of it. All of it shaping you into someone stronger, deeper, more aware.

So if this was the last time…I’d leave you with this: There is more in you. More life. More courage. More truth. Not waiting for the perfect moment, just waiting for you to stop hesitating. So open the door. And go.
