Hello Your World Within Community!

Have you ever found yourself lost in thought, reflecting on the people who’ve influenced your life? I recently found myself doing just that, revisiting impactful conversations with mentors, friends, coaches, and loved ones—each leaving a lasting impression. And do you know what the common thread was? Confidence. 

Yes, confidence—the ultimate game changer. It wasn’t something I was born with, it was a skill I had to cultivate. It was the moment I locked eyes with my reflection and declared, “You are worthy,” that everything changed. A belief that I could tackle the unknown, navigate life’s twists and turns, and come out stronger in the end. 

Just last week, I spoke at a keynote in Tulum, my third keynote in 10 days, and noticed a profound shift as I stood on the side of the room waiting to be introduced. What was at one time nerves and the “pre-game” anxiousness I had become accustomed to was now pure excitement. It was one of those look-over-your-shoulder moments where you observe the pure contrast between where you started and where you currently are. Those who have been a part of my journey for a while understand the hill that I’ve been climbing for 10 years. Mostly because so many of you have been climbing your own hills alongside me.

I made a note to share this milestone because, in a previous lifetime, I would have simply brushed it off and continued on with my life. I understand now though, the value of basking in these milestones for a minute. It reminds me that growth is not one win. It’s just grit. That’s all. A relentless journey forward and willingness to play the student.

I share this with you because I want you to fully understand it. I want it to resonate so deeply that it melts into your soul: I AM NOT SPECIAL. I have simply lived a blueprint that you can take and inject directly into your own life. Progress has been just a matter of putting my head down and continuously showing up, knowing no one would ever come and save me.

Understand how much power you have in your life. Stop trying to be a magician that wakes up and redefines everything. A home run every time at bat is not required of you. Just show up. Daily. For you, for the ones you love, and the ones you’ll help along the way. Every time you’re at that place where you feel frustrated or lost or unsure, look to those whom you admire. 

Look hard. And remind yourself THEY ARE NOT SPECIAL. They just gave themselves permission to go, and to keep going. There is a moment that exists, floating around in the ether, where you look over your shoulder and smile to yourself about how far you’ve come. Don't deprive yourself of the opportunity to experience it.

So, as you tackle today’s challenges, keep this in mind—no one’s riding in on a white horse to rescue you. But when you realize the magnitude of your own power, you’ll realize you were never in need of saving to begin with.

Believe in yourself, and watch as the world opens up, revealing endless opportunities at every turn.
